How to find the right underwear for a heavy flow
Did you know that on average 60ml of menstrual blood is lost during a period? If you have heavy bleeding you lose more than 80ml per cycle, this is called hypermenorrhoea. Our Heavy Absorbency Collection is just what you need. With our SUPER & ULTRA absorbent period panties, you'll stay leakproof and comfortable.
The best way to find the right size for your panty is to use your regular underwear as a reference for the cut. Our size chart can also help you decide on the right size.
Please note that the size chart is for guidance, the perfect fit depends on the cut of the panty and your body shape. Our JULE panty runs a little larger, so it's best to choose the smaller size.
You can get an overview of the different features, such as absorbency, fit (hipster, low waist, high waist, etc.), fabric (lace, spandex, cotton, ...), protection area and different colours of our panties in our product comparison.
femtis menstrual pants absorb your blood through the membrane system in the inner layer and stay dry towards the outer layer. Our JULE ULTRA can absorb up to 60 ml of fluid in the absorbent core, which corresponds to the absorbency of about 9 tampons. Find out how the absorbent core and the individual layers of your panty work as a replacement for cloth pads, tampons or menstrual cups in our how it works section.

Period Panties for heavy menstruation: How to wash & care?
Wash your femtis period panty by hand with cold water after wearing. Make sure that the blood is completely washed out. You can tell when the water is clear. This is especially important because it prevents permanent stains.
Afterwards you can either wash them directly or after a short intermediate drying in the air with the machine at up to 60 degrees. For the longevity of the fabrics, we recommend washing at 40 degrees. Ideally, you use a laundry net to protect the period panties.
Then let the layers of fabric air dry completely and your panty is ready for use again.
Please do not use fabric softener, do not put them in the dryer and do not iron the panty as this could damage the absorbency of the period panties. You can use a hygienic detergent if you want.
